Vineyard area: The single vineyard is located on a sunny hill with a southeastern exposure. Soil composition is calcareous clay. The vines are cultivated in “pergola trentina” or trellis.
Grape Variety: Corvina 65% Rondinella 35%
Vinification: The grapes, after picking, spend a brief period of time drying, a process which raises the natural alcohol content. Initially a sweet wine, after lengthy fermentation of withered grapes and a period of at least three years in barrels, the wine becomes dry and full-bodied
Average age: Approximately five – ten years
Alcohol: – 15,% Vol
Tasting Notes: The Amarone della Valpolicella DOC is dark red in color. Aromas of berries, raisins and almonds are full and inviting. On the palate, flavors of berries, raisins, spice and nuts are balanced, and they have a dry, slightly bitter quality. It is fruity, full-bodied, warm, soft and tannic, with a degree of complexity and a lingering finish.
